Default Ever Since Nightfall came out..

Since Nightfall has come out, I've seen a great increase in generosity, and manners, helping and even freebies! I'm one of those people, but i have always been.

Also, During trades, I've seen lots of bargaining, instead of extremely high set prices. Also Instead of just "ty" bye, I've seen Thank you, Good Luck, have fun" and most of the time it doesn't end there, I've been talking to 15-20 people who started out as trades, and were now checking each others progress, congrats on beating game, and nice items there getting. To me, this is a huge jump from before. I say that some how, Nightfall improved the In-game community.

Well theres my 2 cents. Great Job Anet!

nope... same jerks are still there, I don't think you're getting a good sample of the gaming population.

seems that the jerks are here to spoil this thread...I loved the NF PvE preview, as nothing was going to be kept everyone was simply as kind as you could get - giving away free items, spare cash w/e...twas nice to see....

That's because the jerks that hate other people are all using heroes and are probably already somewhere else.

Personally, I expect them to be near the endgame.

Whats with all the pessimism in this thread? I have an inkling as to why these people arn't appearing but i don't feel the sudden urge to say so.

I havn't been meeting any extraordinarily nice people yet, however i have yet to notice (apart from the halloween event) any nasty or rude people, perhaps those people were all banned after the event? :P.

Yeah, and a good chunk of "PVE PLAY IS FOR THE WEAK" PVPers have most likely just bought the PVP version of Nightfall available in the online store and are leaving the rest of us alone.

I still think the community is, in general, horrible. But that's just me. You got very lucky :-) I've found barely any people who i enjoyed interacting with. Doing the Docks mission almost made me throw up. I love heroes so much.

You actually made me look at the online store, and true enough there is a PvP edition!

Just goes to prove that PvPers are fools, at least if I were Anet I'd think that way. Paying 80% of an expansion's cost for ~ 5% of the content? Well I'm fairly sure > 90% of Anet's development costs go to PvE that's for sure...

It really depends on how the other person responds to me. If the person is talking in broken english, I'll just say "ty" and move on. I usually say something like: Thank you.. or Enjoy.. or Have fun and good luck. Point is, respect me and I'll respect you.

Oh, and if I'm having a bad day... >.>

I agree. It's sad to say that in general the PvP scene is full of a lot more immature jerks than PvE. Of course, if you really wanna interact with jerks, go play Halo 2 on Xbox Live. I loved that game, but after a while I just couldn't put up with the immature brats that seemed to be overly prevalent.

I've gotten more abuse and seen more asshats playing PvE than PvP, mainly because most PvErs are there for the rewards, PvPers are just there to play.

Be careful not to let this turn into one of those pve vs pvp arguments, guys. Remember that statements, such as the one quoted above, are equally true for both sides of the game. It's not "what side" you're on that determines whether you're more likely to be a jerk or not; whether you are a jerk or not was already decided before you found which part of the game you prefer to spend your time in.

But that's just my two cents
